World Scout Jamboree : Local Scout On Fund Raising Mission

Local Scout Max Harris-Smith has been busy raising money after he found out his application was successful to attend the World Scout Jamboree.

Following a rigorous selection process that saw 900 Scouts from the region apply, Max, along with Anna Powers, also from Beverley, were picked to represent the 1pc  of Scouts who will attend from the UK.

Colleagues from William Jackson Food Group gathered at their pub, The Ferguson Fawcett Arms in Walkington, to launch a Text Donate service to help local children this Christmas.

Also joining the Hull-based family business, which owns Jackson’s Bakery and Aunt Bessie’s, were the Cash for Kids’ mascot Courage the Cat and Viking FM presenters Alex Duffy and Darren Spence.
