One week after the FIA ETRC round in Most, Czech Republic, Terry Gibbon from Brough driving the T Sport Racing MAN participated in the 6th round of this year´s British Truck Racing Championship back in the UK.
Held at Snetterton it was an important event for the team as their partners EMS and FP&S Truck and Trailer Parts – in cooperation with PE Automotive – once again invited their local customers to join them for the weekend.
Brough’s Terry Gibbon participated in the fourth round of the 2018 British Truck Racing Championship at Donington Park – the closest circuit to the team’s home driving T Sport Racing’s MAN.
“Convoy in the Park“, a massive show truck exhibition formed part of the event. Thousands of spectators attending the two-day event had plenty to see and do: there were 10 truck races – divided into two classes – as well as trade stands, a kids fun fair and an action arena including caravan smashing.
Round One of the 2018 British Truck Racing Championship took place over the Easter weekend around the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit, with Brough’s Terry Gibbon competing in Class A for T Sport Racing in the MAN TGS.
The opening round of the British Truck Racing Championship was scheduled for Easter Sunday 1st and Easter Monday 2nd of April. Accordingly, it was Sunday morning when Terry first went out onto the track with his number 37 race truck.
The last round of the British Truck Racing Championship was held last weekend on 4th and 5th of November around the famous Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in Kent, with Brough racer Terry Gibbon taking the helm of the T-Sport Racing MAN.
With a record number of visitors through the gate, more than 150 show trucks and 30 race trucks, the last truck race of the year was all set to be a real cracker!
It was Saturday morning, when the trucks went out onto the track for the very first time to qualify for the first race of the day.
Terry had a few good warmup laps, but when it came down to achieving a good lap time, the antiroll bar snapped, buried itself into the tyre and caused a puncture.
