The school on Eden Road in Beverley was awarded the money by the Tesco in Beverley. In all, they received £2,000 as a result of finishing first in the supermarket’s Bags of Help incentive.
Walkington Primary School has been visited by representatives from Tesco to see how the money they were awarded was spent.
As a result of the Bags of Help incentive run by the supermarket giant, the school was given a grant of £4000.
Cherry Burton residents are delighted to see the completion of the refurbishment of the Sportsfield Pavilion. Work undertaken has also seen drainage improvements on two of the three football pitches.
The project has cost £67,649 and been funded by the FCC Communities Foundation which has contributed £37,836 and East Riding of Yorkshire Council who contributed £22,000.
Ennerdale Leisure Centre is to receive a £1.76million facelift, with working starting on site mid-July.
In order to prepare for the work, the centre will close to the public on Monday 1 July, however, a number of pre-planned swimming lessons and a gala will still take place up until Friday 14 July.

Customers from the Norton Lane store picked White Cross Netball Club. As a result, they were named winners in the Bags of Help incentive for the months July and August.
