Beverley Town Football Cub return to action this weekend as they travel to Cottingham for their Humber Premier League game against East Riding Rangers.
Town are just one place above Rangers in the table with five points separating the sides. Having played two more games than Rangers this is a match Town boss Rich Jagger and his side must win if they are to continue to climb the table.
Leven Members Club caused an upset this Saturday as they beat table toppers Barrel Walkington 3 – 2 in the East Riding County League. Leven who beat fellow strugglers Mill Lane United last week have now moved off the bottom of the table thanks to the back to back wins. Next week Leven play St Georges while the Barrel Walkington will have a tricky home fixture against Sculcoates Amateurs Reserves….
Windy conditions at Norwood Park turned this into a scrappy affair, with Sculcoates eventually coming out on top. Manager Dave Walton had to shuffle his pack as Town were without keeper Ben Thompson due to injury and suspension.
