An exciting but ultimately disappointing return to National League Three for Beverley. Beverley have never won at Morley where for some unaccountable reason they invariably go to pieces so perhaps there was no real surprise in the result.
Beverley rounded off their league campaign in fine style to end the season twenty points clear at the top of North One East. In the twenty six games played they suffered only two defeats and scored 1229 points at an average of 47 points per game.
Job done. Beverley RUFC needed just two points to be certain of finishing as champions of North One East and they duly got them here. They were far from their best for most of this match but who cares.
Following last Saturday’s postponement of the match at Keighley, Beverley RUFC hope to have better luck with the weather when they travel over to Keighley for the rearranged fixture.
