Beverley AC has seen an extremely busy summer, with members running in several high profile events, with some very noteworthy performances.
Fourteen Beverley runners were fortunate enough to experience the huge Great North Run on 10 September, with nine completing the 13.1 mile course in under two hours.

July not only saw the continued success of the Walkington 10k event, but also several notable performances from Beverley runners at local events and some from further afield.
A busy weekend for Beverley AC saw runners represent the club at 3 events, The East Hull 20, The Lincoln 10k and The Coniston 14 miles in The Lake District.
Timmy Davies continued his fine form for Beverley AC in the City of Hull AC hosted event, The Ferriby 10. He finished 5th in an impressive 56 mins 8 secs , only 31 seconds from a second place berth
It’s time to dig out that running kit Beverley Sport Relief is here again. On Sunday 23rd March the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile will be setting off from The Hurn, Beverley Racecourse on the Westwood at 10am with hundreds
The hugely popular Beverley 10k, sponsored by Hall Construction, sold all 1400 places for the 2014 race by 3pm last Saturday – the entry system having only opened at 9am earlier in the day.
The annual Beverley AC Duathlon was held on 26th June. This is a tough test which starts at Skidby Mill and consists of a 2 mile run, followed by a 10 mile bike ride, then a 2 mile run.
A total of 33 Beverley AC runners competed in the Humber Bridge 10k race last Sunday. Run by City of Hull AC, this is a well established and popular race which has been getting bigger every year.
James Pearson of Beverley Athletic Club demonstrated that he is currently on very good form by finishing third overall in the second North Lincolnshire Half-Marathon last Sunday.
