Two Ridings Community Foundation are calling on local people and businesses to donate to their Surviving Winter appeal as requests for support from people all over the region are coming in.
The Surviving Winter appeal, launched last month, has already raised £5,000 to support vulnerable people through the harsh winter period, but from the requests for support coming in, much more is needed
Danny Kruger MP, the author of The Levelling Up Our Communities report, is the keynote speaker at the Two Ridings Community Foundation webinar “Are we on the cusp of an Emerging New World?”.
Two Ridings Community Foundation is thrilled to announce that we’re one of the thousands of organisations taking part in this year’s #GivingTuesday campaign, to be held on the 1st of December.
Brought to the UK in 2014 by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), this year #GivingTuesday offers the opportunity to #GiveBack2020 either by donating to charity, reaffirming commitment to a cause, volunteering time or supporting others by simply helping a friend, neighbour or family member.
This winter, vulnerable people in North and East Yorkshire will be colder, hungrier, more isolated, and more anxious than ever before.
As a result, the Two Ridings Community Foundation is launching an emergency appeal to raise £100,000. This money will be used for essential funding for the charities, voluntary organisations and community groups that will provide a vital lifeline to our region.
