All of the Beverley Town CC teams produced good performances over the weekend to register two league wins, two winning draws and an excellent cup win. A youthful 4th XI led the way on Saturday, followed by the 3rds who continued their good form with a third league win and the two senior sides both scored well over 200 runs and claimed comfortable winning draws. Beverley Town Cricket Club’s Under 15s were beaten by Cottingham despite a four-wicket haul from spin bowler Jamie Roe. Cottingham batted first and were bowled out for a creditable 108 from their twenty overs. Beverley managed to score 80 runs in reply, losing the game by 28 runs. The Under 15s return to action in two weeks time at the Norwood Recreation Ground as they host Fenner.
Beverley Town Juniors held their end of season awards. Special guest on the night was John Blain a former Yorkshire CC player.
