Hull & East Riding Green Party have revealed their candidates for the upcoming local elections in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull.
Beverley residents will have a chance to vote for the Green Party in two wards. They have a candidate standing in St Mary’s Ward and also Beverley Rural.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s countryside access team has launched its Countryside Events 2018 programme that includes walks starting in Beverley.
From rambles and themed walks (including photography, navigation, bushcraft, geocaching and orienteering) to wildlife watching events; from Kids Go Wild events to workshops, conservation days and natural craft workshops – the programme includes something for everybody with an interest in the outdoors. The programme also links to the council’s Active Coast initiative this year.
A briefing session is to be held for candidates and agents who are considering standing in the general election.
The session is being organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and is for prospective candidates and agents for the constituencies of Beverley and Holderness; Haltemprice and Howden; and East Yorkshire.
Beverley Young Farmers in the area held a Tractor Run that saw over 70 machines take part in an event that was used to raise money for two charities.
Jonathan Dearing, Vice-Chairman of the Beverley Young Farmers came up with the idea saying following its success they will most certainly be doing it again.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is to carry out major carriageway reconstruction on the A63, between Knedlington crossroads and the East Riding boundary, starting on Monday, 20 March.
The £750,000 project will involve reconstructing sections of the A63, which will be carried out on behalf of the council by Cemex Paving Solutions Ltd.
