In the historic Beverley Minster, University Centre Bishop Burton (UCBB) students, staff and friends gathered for an impressive graduation ceremony.
Among the 130 graduates were students who studied agriculture, animal sciences, criminology, equine, floristry, sport, exercise science, and health, as well as teacher training.

When she was 7 years of age and a brownie, she had her first taste of fundraising when her dad made her a box to go on the back of her bicycle and she wrote letters asking people to donate paperback books for the Blue Peter RNLI inshore lifeboat appeal.

Humberside Training Associates (HTA) has launched its Taxi and Private Hire Driver BTEC and functional skills courses into South and West Yorkshire as councils across the country ramp-up requirements on new and existing driver qualifications.
A Yorkshire baker has handed over a cheque for £11,000 to Kidney Research UK following a year of fundraising – marking the firm reaching a milestone £100,000 total donation to charity over the last 10 years.
With help from their customers and team Thomas the Baker, which has 30 stores across Yorkshire and the North East, has set about raising money for its ‘charity of the year’ for the last decade.

The MP spoke about the challenges that blind and partially sighted people face when walking the streets. Some of the issues faced include pavement parking, street clutter and shared spaces.
Fran Horton celebrated her 60th birthday with friends and family at Maa Indian Restaurant in Beverley.
Fran, who volunteers with Guide Dogs For the Blind had an added treat earlier in the day thanks to her husband who arranged a special visit to the Guide Dogs.
A local charity is on the lookout for volunteers who will be prepared to offer temporary accommodation for the dogs that are currently undergoing training.
Guide Dogs, a charity who provided specially trained K9s for people who suffer with full or partial sight loss say they need help to house animals here in Beverley.
