Bishop Burton College was delighted to team up with Atkinson Action Horses for a spectacular event to raise funds to combat the devastation caused by Australia’s bushfires.
The sold-out event took place on Saturday, 15 February, with 100% of the ticket price being donated to the Australian Red Cross and to WIRES – Australian Wildlife Rescue Organisation.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be recreating Bridlington beach at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate in an attempt to showcase the East Coast.
East Riding Council have sponsored the beach as part of the Welcome to Yorkshire stand at a cost of £4,000 for the duration of the event that takes place in July.

College students Mick Handley and James Harrison, both from Lancashire, saw off competition from Askham Bryan and Newton Rigg colleges to win the North of England College Shearing Competition at Great Yorkshire Show.
