COVID-19 Vaccine Or Booster Walk-In Clinics In The East Riding

If you know anyone that still needs to get their COVID-19 vaccines or boosters, the Health and Wellbeing Bus COVID-19 Vaccination Service is out on the road across the East Riding and Hull throughout the summer.

If you pop along to the vaccination bus this August, the local NHS team are running some special sessions for anyone aged 12+ for first, second or booster jabs, including the Spring Booster (if eligible).

New bus services have been announced to make sure residents still have access to public transport on two East Riding routes after some commercial services were axed.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is to fund replacement bus services for passengers between Bridlington to York, via Driffield, and Hull to Goole, via Elloughton, from next month.

A £2.7million scheme to improve East Riding roads and help protect them against potholes has now been completed for 2019.

As part of its annual surface dressing programme, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s highways maintenance team carried out work at 190 sites across the area during the spring and summer months.

Since 2017 the Culture Train project has taken some of the top musicians from Hull out to play at locations across East Yorkshire and on August 31st the current tour has its finale at the majestic St Mary’s Church.

The project is funded by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Active Creative fund and began during the 2017 Hull City of Culture year to take musicians out of Hull and visit locations along the Hull to Bridlington rail line.

Our Histories Revealed: African Stories in Hull and East Yorkshire is a new exhibition at Goole Museum from 5 February to 6 April which uncovers the history of people of African descent from 1750 to 2007.

These dates represent the period of history beginning with the era of the famous anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce and ending with the bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade.
