Visitors to Hull Museums are invited to experience a traditional Victorian Christmas in the Museums Quarter on Saturday 26 November from 10 am to 4 pm.
Taking place in partnership with HullBID (Business Improvement District) and Whitefriargate High Street Heritage Action Zone, Magic of Christmas will feature a variety of activities and performances.
In February and May next year, the Ferens Art Gallery is seeking an artist in residence to work at the gallery.
Interested artists should send in a recent CV, a covering letter outlining their suitability for the position, and images or video links of their artwork. This can be presented as a video or as a creative project. The application deadline is Monday, 28 November 2022 at midnight.
The artist Nahem Shoa has generously gifted two artworks to the Ferens Art Gallery.
Shoa originally contacted Kerri Offord, Curator of Art, to see if the Ferens would be interested in acquiring a portrait made by Shoa of his friend, the artist Desmond Haughton.
