News that Beverley Town Council has been awarded funding to deliver a nature-based project has been welcomed by Cllr Denis Healy.
Beverley Town Council has secured £17,000 in commuted sums. This cash will be used to develop a nature trail. It will feature information boards, trails, bat boxes and also benches.
Issues surrounding the outage of the North Bar Traffic Signals has been attributed to a faulty switch.
Cllr Denis Healy took on the issue after he received a number of complaints from local residents. Since taking on the issue he has been given a response from the council with regard to the issue.

He also says that he will be raising concerns with Humberside Police. They were seen driving through the junction not even stopping to help handle the flow of traffic.

St Mary’s Ward Councillor Denis Healy has met with the Acting Head of Longcroft School, Andy Baker, together with Longcroft pupils and teachers, following last week’s publication of the national progress scores, which revealed that Longcroft had the lowest score in the East Riding for pupil progress and below the national average.
Cllr Healy had said that parents needed to “have faith” that the school could turn round its performance. That prompted Mr Baker to contact Cllr Healy with an invitation to visit the school, to see for himself the work that is going on to get Longcroft back on track.
