The Pittaway Beverley 10k road race saw a record 1,850 runners descend on the town for the 25th running of the event on Sunday 13 May, which was started by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu.
Organised by Beverley Athletic Club, the run has become one of the best-loved annual events in the town’s calendar, attracting thousands of runners, spectators and Beverley residents alike.
It was a hot day for the for the record turnout of nearly 1600 runners who completed the twenty third Hall Construction Beverley 10k road race last Sunday.
Beverley AC are urging people who plan on taking part in this year’s Hall Construction Beverley 10K that they make a note of the date when entries will be open.
The inaugural Burton Constable 10k race, organised by East Hull Harriers, took place last Sunday. The race was fast and flat, on trails through the grounds of Burton Constable Hall, landscaped by Capability Brown.
19 Beverley runners were among the 127 finishers of the Burton Pidsea 10k road race. This is a fast, flat race through rural East Yorkshire. First home for the club was Aubrey Morrell, recording 36:59.
A busy weekend for Beverley AC saw runners represent the club at 3 events, The East Hull 20, The Lincoln 10k and The Coniston 14 miles in The Lake District.
