Beverley Building Society Builds On Its Community Strategy By Supporting Local Sports Clubs

Beverley Building Society has announced new sponsorship partnerships with both Beverley Rugby Union Football Club (RUFC) and Beverley Town Football Club. The partnership with Beverley RUFC will see the Society become a sponsor of the women’s team as well as supporting some of the mini and junior teams. As an official partner of Beverley Town FC men’s team, they will also support the kids’ teams and the girls’ academy.

On July 26th, 2018, Derby County confirmed the signing of former Peterborough United striker, Jack Marriott. The attacker joined the Rams for an initial £3 million, with add-ons potentially taking the transfer to £5 million.

The Beverley-born striker took League One by storm during his one season at the Weston Homes Stadium, scoring 33 goals across all competitions in 44 appearances.

East Yorkshire Community Groups Receive Grants From YOR4Good Fund

Four community groups in the East Riding and Hull have benefited from a grant scheme set up by five Yorkshire councils and funded by the construction industry.

Driffield Methodist Church, North Ferriby Primary School, Beverley Town Jaguars Under-16s and Rooted in Hull received a combined total of more than £30,000 in the latest round of awards from the YOR4Good fund.
