Shoezone has moved into Beverley’s Flemingate centre, adding another major retailer to the bustling market town.
In addition to Dunelm, H&M, Sports Direct, The Entertainer, and Wilko, the footwear group has taken a long-term lease at Flemingate.
Mayor of St. Jean Brévelay Guénaël Robin says he was impressed by Beverley Minster and the team there.
His comments come following a visit to Beverley where he exchanged gifts the Mayor of Beverley Cllr Bryan Pearson.
Money raised from The Beverley Hills Reunion Night held at The Shed in Beverley has been handed over to McMillan Cancer Support.
The Shed was the chosen venue to host a Beverley Hills Reunion Night. Friends of years gone by rolled back the years to come together and enjoy night a of 80s music.

£1,200 was presented to the Macmillan Nurses cancer support (Yorkshire) by Kerri Harold, who was one of the organisers of Beverley’s Class of the 80s Reunion Fundraising Disco held last October at the Beverley Memorial Hall. On sat 23rd oct, the Beverley’s ‘Class of the 80’s’ Reunion fundraising disco will start at 7.30pm and you can be sure of a night filled with all the magic tunes from the fantastic 80’s! The decade that brought us the rubik’s cube, neon socks, leg warmers, care bears and most of all some brilliant bands, some that have even stood the test of time and still top the charts….
