Beverley AC Perform Well in Ferriby 10

Last Sunday’s Ferriby 10 was designated as Beverley AC’s first handicap race of 2010 and 29 athletes from the club joined the 500-strong field to tackle the challenging 10-mile course which starts and finishes at Skidby Mill. Drizzle Doesn’t Dampen Beverley AC’s Start to 2010

In cool and drizzly conditions, perfect for racing, 33 runners from Beverley Athletic Club joined over 1500 others in the Brass Monkey half marathon. The course runs from York Racecourse, south of the historic city through the villages of Bishopsthorpe, Acaster Malbis, Acaster Selby and Appleton Roebuck.  Conditions were good for the runners, resulting in a number of personal best times. Beverley Athletic Club hosted the second race in this season’s East Yorkshire Cross Country League at Drewton Woods near South Cave last Sunday.  Conditions were perfect – mild with sunshine and a reasonable amount of mud. Beverley Athletic Club Members Complete Paras’ 10K

Charlie Culpan, Jayne Dale and Andy Tate from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Catterick Garrison recently to compete in the 2009 Paras’ 10 challenge.
