Sewerby Zoo is pleased to announce its new arrival, Madge, an 18 month old Alpaca who is one of four species of South American Camelids. Out of the four South American Camelids, Sewerby already has Guanacoes, Llamas and one other Alpaca. Madge is chocolate brown in colour and has come from East Park in Hull. John Pickering, head zoo-keeper said: “Madge has been brought in as a companion to Gabriella, our existing Alpaca. As Alpacas are social animals, she is a very welcome addition to our zoo.” Admission to the zoo costs £2.25 for adults and £1.10 for children.
