Police Launch Campaign To Find 12 Wanted People

Can you help Humberside Police identify one of twelve people who feature in a campaign being run this Christmas? The campaign launching this Christmas focuses on electronic images of those people who police want to trace in connection with a number of offences, one of which dates back to 2010, in an attempt to lock them up in time for Christmas. Regularly police release electronic images of people who they are trying to locate for offences such as sexual assaults and distraction burglaries. The images are created with the help of the victim to assist police in identifying who they might be looking for. Often these images are then circulated to the media to enlist the help of the general public. In the first part of the campaign police have released images of 12 people who officers, from across the force, want to identify. These individuals are wanted for burglary, sexual assaults, an armed robbery and an accosting. These are quite significant offences and in some cases the images have been released to the media before, but police have not been able to locate the offender. Detectives in the East Riding have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace following a burglary at an address on King Street, Cottingham. Between 0725hrs and 0825hrs on Monday 16 July a thief entered the residential property and stole a large selection of jewellery, a Samsung Netbook – with a maroon coloured lid and a pink coloured digital camera. Police are appealing for the man in the CCTV image and anyone who may be able to help police identify the offender to call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting crime reference 1918675. HULL : Fire Clarendon Street

Police are appealing for information in connection with a fire which happened at a property on Clarendon Street, Hull at around 0130hrs on Saturday 21 July 2012. An unknown person is believed to have set fire to an object which was placed inside a shed. This caused the shed to set alight, which resulted in damage also being caused to the residential property. Two female occupants of the property attended HRI and were treated for smoke inhalation. Officers have conducted a number of localised enquires and are now appealing for anyone who may have information in connection with the incident to call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting crime reference 1919639. SKIDBY : Police appeal After Nursing Home Is Burgled

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a residential property contained within the Old Vicarage Nursing Home, Main Street, Skidby between midnight on Saturday 14 April 2012 and 0800hrs on Tuesday 1 May 2012. Whilst the property was unoccupied thieves entered via a ground floor door and stole various items of audio visual equipment and computer consoles and games. A list of the property stolen is: 1 X Sony 6.1 Av Receiver Str-Dg700 Silver 25106012 P-13323561-6 S01-660159-D with silver remote control 1 X Sony Dvd Recorder/Player Rdr-Gx7 with silver remote control with sliding front panel 1 X Sony Mini Disc Player/Recorder Mds-Je480 with black remote control 1 X Sony Playstation Ps3 in white with a light blue box, an import from Japan. 1 X Sony White Ps3 Controller 1 X Hdmi Splitter silver/grey in colour 1 X Hdmi Converter black in colour 1 X Xbox in green, an import from Japan Numerous DVDs and PS3 games. LITTLE WEIGHTON : Road Traffic Collision

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which happened on Old Village Road, Little Weighton, East Yorkshire at 2250hrs on Wednesday 18 April 2012. A red Seat Leon travelling along Old Village Road, Little Weighton was in collision with the garden wall of a residential property and an unattended parked vehicle causing damage to both vehicles and the wall. The 19 year old male driver of the red Seat Leon sustained a back injury and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where he currently remains. Roads Policing Officers are now investigating the cause of the collision and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have seen the red Seat Leon being driven prior to the collision. Goole: Landlord Training Sessions

East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Private Sector Housing Team will be running two training sessions for landlords in Goole covering how to inspect a residential property and how to end a tenancy. The session on inspecting residential properties introduces landlords to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), which is the current means by which housing conditions are assessed and hazardous conditions are identified. By the end of this session, participants will understand the principle behind the HHSRS and understand how to identify deficiencies within dwellings. The training is being held at Goole Adult Education Centre, Stanhope Street, on Wednesday, 22 February, from 10am-4pm. The ending a tenancy session covers the serving of Section 8 and Section 21 notices and will guide landlords through the legal procedure for evicting a tenant. This course also provides guidance in relation to harassment. Again, the training is being held at Goole Adult Education Centre, Stanhope Street, on Monday, 20 February, from 1pm-4pm. These are free training sessions for landlords who own and manage property in the East Riding. Second Call For Coastal Fund

On 13 February, the council will launch the second (and final) call period for the East Riding Coastal Change Pathfinder (ERCCP) Small Grants Fund. This fund was initially launched in early 2011 to enable individuals, groups and businesses in the East Riding to develop unique approaches to coastal erosion and coastal and/or estuarine flood risk management. Funding of £100,000 is available and the call period will run from 13 February – 30 April (inclusive). This is one of the final stages of the ERCCP, a £1.2m project funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and delivered by the council since February 2010. Under the terms of the Small Grants Fund, grants from £500 to a maximum of £30,000 can be awarded to schemes that promote coastal adaptation and coastal and/or estuarine flood resilience. Application forms and guidance notes will be available to download from the council’s website, www.eastriding.gov.uk from Monday, 13 February until the closing date for applications, Monday 30 April.
