A networking event has been arranged for local voluntary and community groups in and around Driffield on Wednesday 5 June 2013 between 6 and 7.30 pm at Cass Hall. Local Links is already running in other parts of the East Riding such as Bridlington, Beverley and Holderness. A variety of different groups attend such as local churches, groups from the University of the Third Age, Age UK, town and parish councils and housing associations. All local groups are welcome. The aim of the event is to give groups the opportunity to network with each other and highlight opportunities for working together or offering support. There will also be presentations from different organisations such as the Credit Union, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council funding team, and East Riding Voluntary Action Services (ERVAS), in response to issues raised by groups. This session will ask the different groups what they would like to get out of future meetings and who they would like to hear from.
