2846 Fewer Victims Of Crime On The Southbank

There were 2846 fewer victims of crime across North and North East Lincolnshire, between 01 April 2012 and 31 March 2013. This is in comparison to figures between 01 April 2011 and 31 March 2012. End of year figures for the Southbank Division, which consists of both North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire, show that all crime across the two areas was reduced by 10.1% and the number of victims of crime, who were satisfied with the overall service provided was up by 3.7%. The biggest reduction in crime, across the Southbank was in the number of people who were victims of criminal damage. There were 961 fewer offences than in the previous recording period. This area of crime saw a reduction of 16.7%. Violent crime with injury was reduced by 1.5%. The most significant reduction for the division is the 129 fewer victims of burglary across the area. It is no secret that burglary is one of the main focuses for the division and is something that police and partners work hard to reduce. HULL : Puppies Stolen In Hull Burglary, Mickley Grove

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a property on Mickley Grove in Hull on Saturday 11 May 2013. Sometime between 0100hrs and 0520hrs on Saturday 11 May 2013 someone entered the rear garden of the property on Mickley Grove and gained access to a wooden shed within the garden. The shed was being used by the householders as a home for an adult Cocker Spaniel bitch and her litter of five puppies. The dogs were in the shed at the time of the incident and four of the puppies, all bitches were stolen. The puppies are 5 weeks old and not fully weaned as yet and being separated from their mother is a distressing situation for both the mother and the puppies. The owner is understandably concerned for the puppies’ welfare in the circumstances and is anxious to have them reunited with their mother. They are described as one being plain black and one being completely golden. Another is golden coloured with a white spot on her neck and the fourth described as golden coloured with a white blaze on her head and four white toes. Police Appeal After Man Has Tools Stolen In Bransholme

Police are appealing for information following the theft of some tools whilst a workman was undertaking repairs at a property on Falkirk Close, Bransholme on Monday 29 April 2013. Between 1100hrs and 1130hrs on Monday 19 April 2013, a man working at a house on Falkirk Close left his tools on the doorstep of the property where he was undertaking repairs to briefly return to his van parked outside. The man reports that whilst standing at the back of his van, he was approached by two people who pushed him into his van and shut the doors. A short time afterwards the man freed himself from the van to find that his tools had been taken from the doorstep. The victim believes one of the thieves may have been a man wearing a grey jumper/hoody. The tools taken were in a Makita tool bag and consisted of a Makita jigsaw, a Makita vault planner, a Makita circular saw and Makita digital radio. HULL : Police Appeal After Pregnant Lady Is Harassed In ASDA

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident which occurred around 2330hrs on Wednesday 3 April 2013 in the car park of the Asda supermarket on Hessle Road in Hull. A pregnant woman who was returning to her car from the store reported being approached by a man who inappropriately touched her before she managed to get into her vehicle. The man, who is described as white, approximately 6ft tall with short mousey blonde hair, gelled at the front was reported to pursue the woman further as she got into her car but was pulled away by another person. Further details of the alleged offender are that he was wearing a grey hooded top with black stripes down the sleeves, aged in his mid to late 20s, clean-shaven and spoke with a local accent. Police are appealing for the member of the public who intervened to come forward as well as anyone else who may have information in connection with this incident. HULL : Witnesses Sought After Objects Thrown At Cyclist

Witnesses are sought to an incident reported as having happened on Bricknell Avenue at around 2030hrs on Thursday 28 March 2013. A cyclist riding along Bricknell Avenue between Kenilworth Road and Chanterlands Avenue, Hull was overtaken by a silver coloured vehicle. The woman cyclist stated that as the vehicle passed her as she cycled towards the roundabout at Chanterlands Avenue, the occupants threw something at her described as missiles, possibly rocks or stones. The woman managed to take cover but was struck by some of the thrown items and sustained bruising to her neck as a result. HULL : Hardrock Mountain Bike Stolen In Shed Burglary

A specialized mountain cycle was stolen in a shed burglary in Hull in the early hours of Thursday 28 March 2013. The break in happened between 0330hrs and 0430hrs at a property on Wold Road in Hull when intruders gained access to the rear garden of the semi detached house. The thief/thieves broke into the shed and stole the black, Hardrock cycle with white graphics. The 21 speed cycle has front and rear mudguards and front and rear lights with 26” wheels and new cogs and a new chain. The cycle also has a distinctive green dust cap on the rear wheel. FOOTBALL : Two Footed Challenge Leads To Police Investigation

Police are investigating an allegation of assault, which occurred during a football game between 1100 and 1130hrs on Sunday 16 December 2012. The football match which was being played at the Noddle Hill Youth Centre on Noddle Hill Way, Bransholme was a league fixture between two local teams, Fenners and Biggin. A booking of a football player from the Biggin team resulted in that player becoming verbally aggressive and reportedly making threats to injure another player. Shortly afterwards the same player was reported to make a two-footed challenge on a Fenners player, resulting in the Fenners player sustaining a fractured leg. Witnesses are being sought to the incident to ascertain the surrounding circumstances and the identity of the player committing the foul which caused the injury to the player from the opposing team. The player suspected of deliberately inflicting the injury is described as being a white man in his mid 20s, of slim build and around 5ft 9 ins tall with dark blonde/brown spiky hair. Michael Bennison : Police Continue Hunt For Dangerous York Man

Police hunting for Michael Bennison, wanted for attempted murder, have issued an urgent warning to the public. Michael Bennison, 28, is considered to be extremely dangerous and members of the public should not approach him. He is suspected of stabbing his 27-year-old girlfriend at an address on Healey Grove, in the Huntington area of York, at around 1pm on Friday 14 December 2012. Michael Bennison is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, short brown hair, blue eyes with a strong build. Facially, he has a wide nose and a noticeable mole on both cheeks. Although it is possible Michael Bennison is still in the York area, his whereabouts are currently unknown. He also has links in the Lancashire area. The victim currently remains in York District Hospital in a stable condition.
