GRIMSBY : Humberside Police Name Grimsby Girl

Humberside Police have released the name of the four-year-old girl who died following an incident in Grimsby. Poppy Widdison who was just four years old and known also by the name of Poppy Pyke, of Ladysmith Road, Grimsby sadly died in the early hours of Monday 10th June at Sheffield Children’s Hospital after she was transferred to the hospital, following her admission to Grimsby Hospital with serious injuries on Sunday June 9th. The exact circumstances of her death are still being investigated by Humberside Police detectives and at this time, it remains unexplained. A 34-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, who were both arrested in connection to the incident currently remain in police custody. The family of Poppy are still trying to come to terms with their loss. The family have not or have any plans to release any comment at this time. Use Facebook to Comment on this Post

HULL : Police Arrest Hull Man Following Beverley Road Hoax Firearms Incident

Police have arrested a 24 year-old man in relation to a reported firearms incident in the Beverley Road area of Hull, on Thursday 18 April, which officers now know was a hoax. Humberside Police received a call shortly before 2030hrs, stating that threats were being made to a woman in a communal area of an address in St Leonards Road. Armed officers, the force helicopter, dog handlers and uniformed officers were deployed to the scene, where roads in the area were cordoned off as a precautionary measure. Patrols left the scene at approximately 2245hrs, when it became clear that the alleged victim was unaware of the incident, and there was no risk to the public due to the call being a hoax. HULL : Name Of Woman Who Died On Westbourne Avenue

Police have released the name of the woman who was found deceased at an address in Hull. The woman, who was found deceased in a flat in Westbourne Avenue on Saturday night has today been identified as Dawn Warburton aged 40. Dawn died of compression to her neck, and at this time her death is being treated as unexplained. A 39 year old man is still assisting police with enquiries and investigations into the circumstances of her death are ongoing. HULL : Witnesses Needed After Cyclist Is Killed In Hull

Witnesses are sought to a fatal road traffic collision that happened on a busy Hull roundabout at approximately 1600hrs on Easter Sunday (31 March 2013). A 46-year-old Hull man was travelling on a red and black coloured Raleigh pedal cycle round the Derringham Bank roundabout where Willerby Road and Spring Bank West meet. It appears that as he was cycling round the roundabout a collision occurred with a black Renault Clio, driven by a 29-year-old man. The cyclist sustained critical head injuries and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment. He sadly died on the afternoon of Easter Monday (01 April). The driver of the car was uninjured. He was arrested in connection with the collision and interviewed by police. He has now been released on police bail pending further inquiries. HULL : Man Attacked At KFC On Beverley Road

A man was assaulted as he waited in a Hull takeaway with his young family. The 46-year-old man was in the KFC on Beverley Road at approximately 1845hrs on Saturday 02 February when the incident occurred. It appears that a dispute broke out in the restaurant between four men and the staff in the store about a suspected counterfeit note that was being offered as payment. It is alleged that the four men were shouting and swearing and the man approached them and asked them to calm down due to the presence of his children, aged six and nine. A verbal altercation then ensued which followed immediately afterwards with the four men allegedly assaulting the 46-year-old father. The victim sustained a broken nose, swollen and bruised left eye, cut above left eye which required stitches and numerous marks and bumps to his face and head. He was treated at Hull Royal Infirmary. Officers investigating the incident have arrested and charged two teenagers with assault – both aged 17 – and they have been released on police bail to attend Magistrates Court later in February. HULL : Police Appeal Following Robbery At Burdale Close

Police are seeking witnesses to a robbery that happened shortly after 1800hrs on Monday 03 December on Burdale Close in Hull. A 39-year-old man was approached by two men on pedal cycles, and one is alleged to have produced a bladed weapon and demanded the victim hand over property. They then searched the victim and removed a gold chain from around his neck before cycling away with a rucksack containing a wallet and some prescription painkillers. The victim was not injured. The suspects are described as two white men aged 35 to 40 years, approximately 6ft tall and of large build. One was wearing a dark coloured flat cap and the other a baseball cap. Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about those responsible. BEVERLEY: Stolen Landrover Discovered In Ditch

Police are appealing for information in connection with an incident in which a black coloured Landrover Freelander ended up in a ditch. The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from an address on Carr Close in Beverley on Sunday 11 November and was later located in a ditch off Park Lane in Cottingham on Monday 12 November by a member of the public. A 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with the motor vehicle theft; however, he has been released without charge. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the incident and/or anyone who may be able to identify how the vehicle came to stop in the ditch. HULL : Police Appeal Following An Assault In Pozition Night Club

A man sustained injuries to his hand following an incident which took place outside Pozition Nightclub, George Street in Hull at around 0300hrs on Friday 09 November. A 22 year old man was stood with a group of friends when he was approached by an unknown man, who is alleged to have hit him with what appeared to be a glass object. The 22 year old man sustained a cut to his hand for which received minor treatment at HRI. The offender is described as a dark skinned male of a muscular build, around 6ft tall and with short dark hair. He was wearing a black coloured jacket and jeans.
