The Robins have teamed up with club sponsor City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) to run a scheme that will recognise the selfless work carried out by carers in the local community. The ‘KR Cares’ initiative, which is being run to celebrate the upcoming launch of a new home for the Carers Information and Support Service on King Edward Street on Thursday 6th June, will see nominated carers receive special invitations to the Robins’ clash against the Huddersfield Giants the day after – including the chance to step out onto the pitch at MS3 Craven Park for a special photo opportunity, along with a signed memento of the day – all courtesy of CHCP CIC. Once it’s opened, new Carers Building will give local carers access to a whole host of support services and expert advice all under one roof. Mill Lane United Yellows made it to the u14 Girls League Cup final with an exhibition of clinical finishing against a well organised committed side from North Ferriby. The visitors competed for the full game against there treble chasing opponents and can be complimented for their efforts and certainly did not deserve to be on the end of a 9 0 defeat. The difference between the two sides was some quality finishing from the Yellows will 2 goals each from Emma Smith ,Grace Fletcher ,Morgan Nagee , Marie Russell and one for midfielder Tonya Storr. Man of the match for Mill Lane United went to Morgan Nagee for two quality strikes closely followed by impressive performances from the hard working midfielder Tonya Storr and substitute striker Grace Fletcher whos support play and passing was a highlight of the game. So the Yellows are in another cup final against Malet Lambert at Bishop Burton on the 18th May as they try to finish the season in style and complete a magnificent treble and clean sweep of the local trophies. Hull City Football club welcomes Cardiff City on Saturday 4th May 2013 for the last game of the regular Championship season. Humberside Police are expecting a sell out crowd at the KC Stadium to show their support to both teams and that Hull City supporters will get fully behind the team and drive them towards the three points the club need to secure second place and automatic promotion. Humberside Police in partnership with Hull City Football club are planning a joint operation aimed at ensuring the event will be safe for all those who are attending and, as a result, the public can expect to see a larger than normal police presence around the stadium and within the city centre. The public are encouraged to speak to police officers if they have any questions or concerns. The football match is an all ticket game, and tickets will not be on sale on match day. The turnstiles are due to open at 1115hrs.
