Police Message For Hull City V Cardiff City Fixture Saturday

Hull City Football club welcomes Cardiff City on Saturday 4th May 2013 for the last game of the regular Championship season. Humberside Police are expecting a sell out crowd at the KC Stadium to show their support to both teams and that Hull City supporters will get fully behind the team and drive them towards the three points the club need to secure second place and automatic promotion. Humberside Police in partnership with Hull City Football club are planning a joint operation aimed at ensuring the event will be safe for all those who are attending and, as a result, the public can expect to see a larger than normal police presence around the stadium and within the city centre. The public are encouraged to speak to police officers if they have any questions or concerns. The football match is an all ticket game, and tickets will not be on sale on match day. The turnstiles are due to open at 1115hrs. Humberside Police

Hull’s Community Cohesion Officers are spreading the word, that Humberside Police will not tolerate Hate Crime, and nor should anyone else. A short film by Polish production company Astor Productions, has been commissioned by Humberside Police and partner agencies, in a bid to educate people in diverse communities about what Hate Crime is; what to look out for; where to report it and who can help. The film, which is three and a half minutes long, follows the journey of a woman (Coronation Street actress Amy Forest) who witnesses three incidents, where a man has verbally abused three different types of minority groups. The lead character contemplates whether to call the police and report the incident. She questions what constitutes Hate Crime, who to turn to for support, and how she can report the inexcusable behaviour she has seen. The DVD was commissioned by the Police to complement a presentation which is delivered to Hull based diverse communities, including: Black and Ethnic Minority, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual (LGBT), faith and religious groups, youth groups, the elderly, people with immigration status and disabled people. If successful, the scheme will be rolled out across the force area. Funding for the project…

Humberside Police

Four Bransholme streets will be targeted by the Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Community Wardens, ASB Team, Environmental Team, Police Volunteers and Neighbourhood Network on Tuesday 30 April, in an attempt to reduce the number of burglary victims in the area. There was recently a spike in-house and shed/garage burglaries in the North Carr area, so the Neighbourhood Policing Team has taken the lead to tackle crime and give out crime prevention material and advice. If successful, the scheme will be rolled out across the city, as it is hoped that the residents will take on board the hints and tips given by all the partner agencies, who aim to protect the community and deter criminals from offending. Work is on-going in the community, to meet the bi-annual targets, which local residents set the emergency services and Hull City Council. PC Steve Hepworth from the North Carr Neighbourhood Policing Team, is leading the initiative, which will be operating between 0930hrs and 1530hrs. A second multi-agency event is planned for 21 June 2013, but it will take place in a different location in North Carr. The Neighbourhood Policing Team works closely with the local authority, community groups and businesses, particularly in…

Anyone who has experienced problems obtaining money from city centre machines in the time frame above should contact the branch concerned who should be able to identify incorrect transactions. Meanwhile, police offer the below advice in relation to the safe use of ATM cash machines.
