An Investigation is now under way in North Lincolnshire following a road traffic collision which has left a man in hospital in a critical condition. Police received a call shortly before 0500hrs on Sunday 04 November from the Ambulance Service reporting that a man, who had been involved in a road traffic collision, was located on Willoughby Road with serious injuries. The 21-year-old man, who police believe was the sole rider of a motorcycle, was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital and has now been transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary where he remains in a critical condition. Following a number of enquires police have arrested a man in his 20s in connection with this incident. He is not believed to have been travelling on the motorcycle with the injured man but may be able to assist police with their enquiries. He remains in police custody at this time. Police would like to ask people to refrain from posting information in connection with this incident on social-networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
