Members of the Leven Women’s Institute (WI) and staff from the East Riding Libraries Service will be promoting library membership on Saturday, 4 February to celebrate National Libraries Day. A stall will be set up, including sweets for children and bunting, outside the village shop, from 10.30am-12.30pm, and members of Leven Library staff and the WI will provide membership and opening time information as well as library joining forms for any resident who is not yet a library member. The stall was proposed by the WI as part of its national libraries campaign. Jean Johnson of Leven WI, said: “Ever since its inception, the WI has been involved with rural libraries.
