HOWDEN : Part Exchange Family Let Linden Homes Take The Strain Out Of Moving House

When Simon and Lisa Raywood decided to relocate their family to the East Yorkshire town of Howden – they didn’t realise just how smooth their move would be. In just short of a month, the couple and their two children were settled into a brand new four-bedroom detached home at Linden Homes’ King Edgar’s Court development, with the developer’s popular part exchange scheme making the customer journey hassle-free. Simon and Lisa and their two children aged 10 and 14 moved to the location from nearby Goole, after a Linden Homes leaflet advertising the development caught their eye. Although their new home in Howden is a similar size to their previous house in Goole – the family can benefit from a blank canvas on which to put their own personal mark. With a new home also comes low maintenance and high-energy efficiency, but it was the workings of the Part Exchange incentive that attracted the couple. Lisa said: “We both work and it was a relief that Linden Homes were able to take charge of the process of selling our existing home and moving us to a brand new one – all within a space of a month. “The brilliant sales…

Humberside Police

Detectives in Hull are warning people to be cautious about who you let into you into your homes, as criminals are trying a number of methods to gain entry to addresses. Frequently, police are called by members of the local community in Hull who have had items from their homes stolen by people who come to their doors claiming to be there to carry out home repairs and claim that they have been sent by companies to check things at the address. Often these people are criminals who target the elderly and vulnerable to try to steal money from their homes. It can be by either carrying out false repairs, or by distracting them and stealing their purses, wallets and handbags. The offenders often work in groups or pairs to help with the distraction of homeowners, so please be aware of this and think about just who you let into your house and can you be sure of the information they are giving you is correct? A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: “In recent weeks we have had information about criminals who are trying a number of different tactics to get themselves into homes in Hull, and some of them…

Doctors in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire are advising people to use health services wisely over the festive period, and have a safe and very happy Christmas. A wide range of help and advice is available to those seeking treatment over Christmas and the New Year, ensuring local urgent care services are kept free for genuine emergencies. These include: • Self-care • NHS Choices • NHS Direct • Pharmacies • Your own GP • Minor injuries units • Walk in centres • GP Out of Hours Service • Emergency dental service Dr Gina Palumbo, East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “We can all play a part in making sure GP surgeries as well as emergency services such as A&E and 999 are free so that vulnerable people who need emergency treatment are seen and treated as quickly as possible. “Whilst the Emergency Department may seem an easy solution, you can be seen and treated much more quickly by choosing the right place for your particular case.
