A networking event has been arranged for local voluntary and community groups in and around Driffield on Wednesday, 5 June, 6-7.30pm, at Cass Hall. Local Links is already running in other parts of the East Riding, such as Driffield, Beverley and Holderness. A variety of different groups attend, such as local churches, U3A groups, Help the Aged, town and parish councils and housing associations. All local groups are welcome. The aim of the event is to give groups the opportunity to network with each other and highlight opportunities for working together or offering support. There are also presentations from different organisations, such as the Credit Union, the council’s funding team and the East Riding Voluntary Action Service (ERVAS), in response to issues raised by groups. This session will ask the different groups what they would like to get out of future meetings and who they would like to hear from. They will each be given the chance to promote their group and explain what they do. A light tea and refreshments will also be available. If you would like to attend, contact Vicky Neilan, vicky.bolton@eastriding.gov.uk or 07785721129, to confirm your place. Use Facebook to Comment on this Post
