Police are appealing for information in connection with a theft from an elderly woman on Hessle Road in Hull on Tuesday 11 September 2012.
Between 1040hrs and 1100hrs on Tuesday 11 September 2012, the 82-year-old woman was shopping in the Boyes store in Hessle Road, Hull when she noticed a man and woman close by who appeared to be acting suspiciously.
The elderly woman left the shop pushing her shopping trolley and continued along Hessle Road and into another store. Whilst in the Setams store in Hessle Road, the woman noticed the same man and woman again.
The woman is reported to have distracted the elderly woman and whilst doing so the man is alleged to have stolen the elderly woman’s purse from her handbag which was placed on her shopping trolley.
The stolen purse is a brown leather purse containing cash, personal documents and a disabled toilet key.
The victim describes the woman as having long dark hair and a tanned complexion and wearing a long coat. Her male associate is described as being of Asian appearance
