Beverley Leisure Complex is hosting a massive Learn to Swim programme during summer 2012 to complement the Olympics Games.
The venue is offering crash course swimming lessons for children aged three years to school age, working through the Aqua Start pre-school award certificates (levels 1–6).
For school-aged children, Beverley Leisure Complex is offering crash course swimming lessons, working through Grades 1 to 4, with a five-day course (Monday-Friday) priced at £21.50.
For parents who would like one-to-one tuition for their children, the venue is running a week’s crash course of one-to-one tuition for any swimming ability, with a five-day course (Monday-Friday) priced at £93.
Every child who attends a crash course or a one-to-one tuition course during the school holidays will receive a five week unlimited swim card; terms and conditions apply.
For children who are more advanced at swimming, Beverley Leisure Complex offers swim clinics in front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and starts and turns; Children must be at least Grade 3 to attend these clinics. Cost per clinic is £4.30.
For any budding Olympians, the venue offers taster days in mini polo, synchronised swimming and diving and snorkelling taster sessions. Children must be able to swim 50 metres to attend these sessions, which are priced at £4.30 per day.
Fridays are badge testing days, whether it is for 5m, 10m, 25m or 1500m badge and will be booked with a swimming instructor. The leisure complex can also test Brownie, Guide and Cub Scout badges during these sessions.
Each session costs £ 4.30. Badges are not included. Any child wishing to be tested on over 100metres will require a parent/guardian to lap count.
