MP visits Hornsea School for Green Britain Day

On 11th May attended School and Language College’s Green Britain Day Conference. The environmental themed day was organised to raise awareness of local renewable energy developments and career opportunities within the industry.

Students from Hornsea School’s German link school in Bremerhaven also took part, along with from other East schools. Businesses from the , including SMart Wind, Neptune Renewable Energy and Footprint Renewables were supporting the day.

After opening the morning with a short speech, Graham had the opportunity to talk with students as they took part in a variety of workshops.

The and MP said

“Green Britain Day is all about building awareness, understanding and excitement about a greener Britain. By linking , schools and a green vision, we can bring these issues alive and let the children take centre stage.”

In March the Change Minister, Greg Barker MP, visited the school at their request and with Graham’s support. Mr Barker praised their approach to green issues.
