Applications are invited from an enthusiastic and self-motivated community nursery nurse to work within our children’s centre cluster to -
- Develop and run play sessions for children and their parents within the Pocklington/Stamford Bridge and surrounding rural areas, in line with the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Outcomes of ‘Every Child Matters’ document.
- Develop joint working arrangements with other professionals working with young children and their families to provide support services.
- Maintain records and prepare reports as required that will contribute to evidence gathering to demonstrate effectiveness of the Centre.
- You should have good communication and listening skills and the ability to inspire and empower people.
You must have a minimum of a Level 3 Childcare certificate in Childcare & Education or equivalent a full clean UK driving licence and your own car. You must also have experience of working with children under the age of five and their families and be adept at empowering parents/carers as their child’s first educator.
The post will involve driving a council vehicle and working in outreach venues including families’ homes. Knowledge of the local area and issues affecting local families is essential.
