Beverley Skate Park was cleaned up by the people who use it with the help of the East Riding of Yorkshire Detached Team. Laura Townsend, Dean Walters and Vicky Bolton were joined by the Mayor of Beverley David Elvidge engaged with the with skaters who showed great maturity and pulling on the not so flattering Youth Tidy Up vests and got stuck in.
Broken glass, plastic bottles, bricks and even a condom were found and removed from the park. The skate park is in need of some attention, the graffiti was a hot topic and it is clear that both the council and skaters agree that the ramps need to be painted over with artistic graffiti.
What ever happens to Beverley Skate Park it can not be said that the people who use do not care about the facility and with any luck their efforts will be rewarded by much needed paint job.
