A strong contingent of local players couldn’t stop the East Riding County League representative losing in the final of the British Legion Cup recently.
Six players – five from champions-elect Hodgsons and one from Beverley Town – were in the ERCL team that narrowly lost 2-0 to a Hull Mens Sunday League Select XI.
The team was managed by Hodgsons FC inspirational boss Lee Hastings, along with Forum FC’s Jamie Clark.
From Hodgsons were goal-scoring ace Adam Foster, Danny Cartwright, Ben Daniels, Chris Robinson and Paul Silvester, while Beverley Town’s representative was Mark Bagshaw.
