Hull Maritime Museum is set to receive new ramps improving access to its main entrance of the striking building.
Hull City Council has successfully bid for £150,000 funding from the DCMS Wolfson Foundation to install two new access ramps and an access staircase to one of the three domes.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has received National Lottery funding of £8,943 which will be used to deliver the ‘Serves Tennis’ programme in Withernsea.
Part of the Active Communities Everywhere project, the programme aims to encourage young people in deprived areas to have access to fun and engaging tennis sessions. It is especially aimed at those children who would not otherwise have access to such activities.

A man who sexually assaulted and raped a two-year-old girl, before uploading images of him doing so to the internet, will be sentenced at Hull Crown Court in February.

ArtWaves festival is back, taking over Bridlington Spa and beyond for the fifth year. The popular ArtWaves Fringe will begin on Monday 17 June. Also, there are some new dates, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2019.
Organisers say that this year is set to exceed all that has come before. They add it will be a vibrant showcase of traditional, digital, contemporary and also urban art.
