Beverley Minster will host an Old School Disco theme Youth Café on Friday 30th September for upto 250 young people .
Tickets for the event which starts at 7.00pm and finishes at 9.30pm are priced £2 and are available now from all three secondary school libraries, Beverley Minster Parish Centre & Shop.
The Youth Café is aimed at young people in school years 7-9 and there is a range of entertainment including dj’s, bands, dance offs, crowd games, gladiator jousting, sumo wrestling, bouncy castles a tuck shop and a cup cake tent! Beverley Minster is transformed every 4-8 weeks on a Friday night, with a huge stage, sound & light rig.
We aim as a church to serve our local community and its needs. Beverley desperately cries out for more youth provision, and the fact we attract upto 250 young people on a regular basis affirms this need. Beverley Minster is proud of its work with young people, and that the younger generation see the church as welcoming, engaging and relevant.
The Youth Café was broadcast on Songs of Praise earlier in the year, and attracted much interest from other churches and youth workers across the nation!
