O’Connell Breaks Tanners Hearts With Last Gasp Winner

Beverley Town knocked Hodgsons FC out of the East Riding Senior Cup this afternoon with a single goal in the 89th minute.

The match drew a large crowd who were treated to well contested match that on balance Town deserved to win. The goal was scored by Micheal O’Connell making up for missing a simple chance score as his shot bounced back of the post.

Town applied more pressure breaking through the Hodgsons defence though Jonathan Thorn made brave tackle injuring himself in the process.

With extra time looming Town continued to pile forward and they were rewarded for their efforts a close range strike from O’Connell to win the match.

GOAL! – The ball hits the back of the net in 89th minute giving Town the win
