It is a common sight to see model planes and helicopters being flown on the Beverley Westwood. Andy Wilson from Manchester is one of those guys you see up by Beverley Racecourse flying his plane though more recently he purchased a helicopter which he is now learning to fly.
Andy himself may be a beginner with a helicopter but be he is very accomplished at flying planes. His move to a helicopter is partly thanks to his wife who bought him the kit for Christmas, Andy explained;
“My helicopter turned was quite literally a bag of bits, putting it together was very enjoyable. I still have a long way to go before I can fly it like the other guys here, upside down but with practise I will get there.”

Let’s Have a Beverley RC Aircraft Club! …
I am a newcomer to radio control aircraft, and live in Beverley.
I bought a trainer plane about 2 months ago, and have put many hours into the ClearView flightsimulator.
Consequently, I feel confident enough to take the aircraft out … and “get my wings” … but there is no RC club in Beverley.
What say we make one?
