Mill Lane United concluded their pre-season build fielding their first and second teams against each other at Broadgates.
As expected Mill Lane United’s first team won beating the second string 3 – 0 with goals from Jordan Dexter, Adam Foster and an own goal from Rob Lever.
Skipper of United’s Saturday side, Terry Jackson returned to action though withdrew midway through the first half raising further doubts about his match fitness.
Jackson who was replaced with the energetic Danny Ako insisted he will be ‘fighting fit’ and ready for this start of the season despite failing to finish any of the pre-season fixtures.
