An historic East Yorkshire pub hopes to pull in pounds for charity by pulling pints of some of the county’s finest real ales.
The New Inn in Leven is hosting the first Leven Real Ale Festival on 10-12 June.
Set within the pub’s newly refurbished Georgian courtyard, the festival will showcase some of Yorkshire’s finest real ales and ciders as well as fine food and live entertainment.
The festival gets under way on Friday with an exclusive all-ticket event, with guests getting the chance to sample world-class ales from local producers, such Great Newsome Brewery, Wold Top, Old Mill and Moorlands Cider, Also top entertainment from some of the regions finest acts.
The festival’s family atmosphere continues throughout Saturday, with live entertainment including a display from the East Yorkshire Morris Dancers, family games, more live music, home made food and the chance to sample more great cask ales and cider.
£1 from the entry price on Friday and half of the bar profits throughout the weekend will be donated to local educational charity, The Wray Trust, and Leven Scouts.
The event is being sponsored by KCOM and supported by East Yorkshire-based Great Newsome Brewery, The New Inn Leven and Jellycat Media.
