Pictures from the Hull Thursdayrc George Ely Memorial a 24m 2 up team time trial that saw riders complete circuit starting in Lecconfield finishing in Beverley. The event was promoted for and on Cycling Time Trials with around 60 riders taking on the circuit.
George Ely was a life member of Hull Thursday road club, joining back in 1931 before becoming a national cycling star. George won 9 consecutive open and club time trials. George sadly passed away in April 2006 and at his families request an event is held in his memory with his family providing a generous donation.
