Following on from their successful fundraising “Pink Night” earlier in the year, the Friends of Longcroft School (FOLS) are getting into the festive spirit by organising a repeat event, with added sparkle.
Taking place at Longcroft School, Burton Road, Beverley, on Tuesday 6th December between 6:30pm and 9:00pm, “Sparkling Pink Night” will be an opportunity to not just purchase christmas presents, but to also receive some much-needed pampering before the Christmas chaos commences!
Sheenagh Rollison, Chair of FOLS, explained: “We have over 45 local businsess selling a wide range of quality products, from handbags and jewellery, to make-up and chocolates. The last event was a brilliant success and we are aiming for this one to be even bigger and better. There will be a whole variety of beauty treatments and tips that we hope people will enjoy, as well as competitions and great support from Viking FM, who are hosting proceedings again for us.”
Although the event is open to all members of the public, any female student from Longcroft School arriving before 7:15pm will have the chance to have a make over – hair/makeup/dress and photo shoot – a real Cinderella moment! Refreshments will be provided by “The Vintage Tea Lady” and Sixth Formers will be selling refreshments to raise funds.
Cath Bunn, a member of FOLS, was keen to point out that it’s not just girls who are welcome: “With so many stalls selling perfect gift items, it’s also a great opportunity for dads and lads to find perfect presents for wives, daughters, sisters and girlfiends. We hope to see as many families here as possible.”
Tickets are priced at £2.50, which includes entry to a fantastic raffle, and can be purchased on the door. Other treatments and activities may come at an additional costs, but there will be lost of tasters and freebees available.
Mrs Rollison concluded: “We hope this will be a wonderful event that will help raise funds, which will be ploughed directly back into Longcroft to benefit all our students.”
