Beverley Town CC lost out in the Phoenix Cup Final to Fenner’s on Tuesday evening in Hull.
Beverley won the toss and opted to field first, some god bowling restricted to Fenner’s to just 91, giving them a real chance of causing an upset.
Fenner’s however put an equally good performance with the ball taking a string of early wickets.
Despite a good performance by skipper Alan Acklam, Beverley managed to score 72 falling 20 runs short of the required target.
