Toll Gavel Church Preschool Playgroup have celebrated two major occasions this week.
Children welcomed in the Chinese Year of the Rabbit by making a fantastic dragon. To add to the fun, they got to practise their chop-stick skills sampling a variety of Chinese foods.
Also, Sheila Manson was appointed as the new manager.
Sheila brings to the Preschool a wealth of experience in childcare and welfare. A Lancashire lass by birth, Sheila’s career has taken her all over the country, though has now been settled in Beverley for 11 years.
Shelia will be the linchpin in a long established and experienced team of dedicated staff who work with children aged from 2 years upwards.
Commenting on her new role Shelia said “All our children learn through play in a warm, caring environment. The team here are keen to help children develop in social and interpersonal skills which are so vital to a smooth transition into school when they grow older.”
“I am looking forward to the challenge of continuing to develop the preschool which already has an excellent name in the community.”
