The Dacre Arms, Brandsburton were crowned ‘Darts Trebles’ champions yesterday evening at the Grosvenor Club in Beverley winning 5 sets to 1 against the Lord Nelson. The Grosvenor Club made special allowances on the evening allowing a female into the club during the final breaking age old traditions’!
Local businessman Phil of the Beverley Camera Centre and chairman of the Darts league said;
“Trebles has really taken off with the coverage of the darts premier league on Sky Sports, we play two formats of the game in our league. Trebles are what is mostly shown on the TV though Doubles is far more skilful game and one all the local players enjoy.”
“I would like to congratulate The Dacre Arms, they most certainly worthy winners this evening and I am sure many of their players will be putting in appearance for the grand knock out competition later this month.”
