Default Slow shutter speeds and panning technique !

Whilst in wales shooting aircraft i spoke to a few Photographers on their techniques and was surprised how many were using fast shutter speeds to capture these aircraft, all well and good to get sharp shots but noway give the sense of speed and movement to the action. Below are few examples of both technique see which you briefer ?

#1 Fast shutter speed 1/2500sec f2.8

#2 Slow shutter speed for propeller movement 1/125sec f 14

#3 Fast shutter speed 1/800sec f5.6

#4 Slow shutter speed and panning 1/125sec f14
