Im sorry not to be able to support this event.

To me it's a thinly disguised military recruiting event glorifying militarism. I cant support something which will encourage youngsters to join up when our young people are being killed in pointless wars over resources.

We have to change our whole way of thinking to become more sustainable so that we dont go to war alongside the States for oil and other resources. I am surprised at the Lions and others for sponsoring it.

I am sorry you cannot support Beverley Armed Forces Day but thousands do. You are entitled to your views but I hope you can accept I believe quite strongly you are so, so wrong.
Mind you, as "your" quote is almost identical to your husbands on your green web page maybe its not your view.
The day this year will include even more community groups then ever with new additions of Irish and Highland Dancers plus classical singers Ti Amero. The day is about our Armed Forces and how we support and interact with them. There will be a time to remember those lost in conflict and those who serve us today :p
