Colts Confident Sponsorship Deal Will be Completed

The hope to build on a superb start to their debut season when they finally get back to action after their enforced winter break this weekend.

The Colts only played their first game in August following a long battle from founder , MP and local councillors to secure a pitch on Swinemoor Estate. Work with the local authorities has been on going and this week Rob confirmed Council had proposed sponsorship deal though terms had not been agreed by the club.

Speaking to .net Rob said;

“We were very happy with the offer made to us by Council, as a club we need many things with kit being the highest priority at this point. The deal proposed is a good however some parts of the agreement are just not workable for us though me and manager are working on possible compromise that will be acceptable to all parties with one of the sugestions being we promote an event run by the council.”

The offered currently being tabled by Council would require the to feature the Council logo on their kits with the wording , Hunter is said;

“There is no issue with Council we just feel as a club it is not right for use to use the town logo on our kit. FC has been a long established club and the logo in the local world belongs to them. We want to develop the and to do this we must build our own identity.”

“We are working on ideas and will take these back to Council and feel very positive that we can find something that will please all parties concerned.”
