The Beverley Westwood due to the poor weather resembled the Lake District though this did not put people off from playing golf! Despite the standing water that in places was too deep to walk through golfers still continued to play on ten of the holes which remained open.
The crater was completely filled with water and some dogs seemed to like the change and were more then happy to dive and have a swim! Roy the owner of Roy’s Sandwich Bar remarked on the transformation saying he had never seen anything like it. With the misty skies and with much of the water still frozen it certainly did made the green pastures of the Beverley Westwood look a picture.
Beverley Westwood covered in water yet the golfers still manage to get a reduced round in!
